The Ministry of Finance has urged companies and institutions that supply goods and services to the Ministry to continue adhering to high standards of quality, integrity, transparency, and contractual obligations to ensure that the Government receives value for money in the use of public resources.
Speaking during the opening of the 2025/26 Annual Performance Evaluation Meeting for Suppliers and Service Providers to the Ministry of Finance, held at the Kambarage Hall, Treasury Square in Dodoma, the Ministry’s Director of Administration and Human Resources, Mr. Lusius Mwenda, said the Ministry expects significant improvements in the delivery of goods and services, particularly in the areas of quality, efficiency, and the use of digital technologies.
He said that although considerable progress has been made in the implementation of various contracts, there remains a need to strengthen collaboration between the Ministry and service providers in order to address emerging challenges and improve the efficiency of government operations.
“We expect suppliers and service providers to continue complying with the agreed quality standards, deliver goods and services on time, and uphold professional ethics and all public procurement procedures,” Mr. Mwenda said.
He also emphasized the importance of building and maintaining professional relationships based on trust and transparency, noting that these principles are fundamental to the successful implementation of government contracts.
The Ministry further stated that it will continue creating a conducive environment for suppliers and service providers to ensure contracts are implemented efficiently and that any challenges that arise are resolved promptly.
